VERMILLION, S.D. – Nicole Seekamp recorded her second straight 20-point game while Polly Harrington recorded her second straight double-double to lead South Dakota to a 90-35 win over Dakota State at the DakotaDome on Thursday night.

Seekamp led South Dakota (4-5) scoring with 20 points, while Harrington recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Tia Hemiller added a season-high 13 points, and Margaret McCloud tallied a season-high 13 rebounds.  All ten players that played for USD scored in the game.

Dakota State was led by Alyson Drooger, who recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks.  Kylie Westover was the only other player for the Lady T’s to score over five points with eight.  The game did not count towards Dakota State’s record (3-6), but did count towards USD’s.

South Dakota had season-high outputs in assists (21), steals (18) and offensive rebounds (15).  Alexis Yackley led in assists with four, and tied Tempestt Wilson for the most steals with four.   McCloud recorded the most offensive boards with six.

The Coyotes led at the half 41-18 after shooting 42.1 percent and scoring 14 points off of turnovers in the first half.  In the final stats, South Dakota shot almost 23 points higher than Dakota State (47.4 percent to 24.5 percent), held a 44-12 point advantage in the paint, and nearly tripled the Lady T’s in field goals (36 to 13).

South Dakota will travel to Kansas State on Sunday for a 2 p.m. tipoff with the Wildcats.
