	Competition Continues For Firefighters And Police In SF by KDLT News January 02, 2013 4:39 PM Firefighters and police officers in Sioux Falls continue to face off in the “Heroes Behind The Badges” blood drive. This year marks the 18th annual event. The two departments of first responders are competing against each other, and are still trying to drum up support for their teams. Last year the firefighters won, donating 600 units of blood. The totals as of Wednesday afternoon have the firefighters hanging onto the lead with 312 units, and police behind with 237 units. There’s still time to donate, the competition ends Friday.
