One Dead, Four Injured After Car Strikes Tree

One person is dead after a one vehicle accident in Sioux Falls.
Sioux Falls Police, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and Rural Metro Ambulance responded to the accident at Oak Street and Holly Avenue just after 10:00 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the driver of a 2005 Mercury Montego struck a tree. Five people were in the vehicle. Two suffered critical, life-threatening injuries, and three were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say the driver died after arriving at the hospital. The four passengers remain in the hospital.
Police say the initial invesitgation shows that both speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. No one was wearing a seatbelt.
