Lance Armstrong has been stripped of the Olympic bronze medal he won at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
The International Olympic Committee sent a letter to Armstrong last night asking him to return his medal because of doping.
The move was confirmed on the same day that Armstrong admitted using performance-enhancing drugs in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. That interview runs Thursday and Friday on the OWN channel.
We went to a Sioux Falls bike shop to see if cyclists plan to watch the interview. The owner of Spoke-n-Sport, Chard Pickard, says he’s not sure
“That’s a good question, there is a movement of cyclist who say we're just sick of it, lets not contribute to the media exposure and they're not watching it they're telling their friends not to watch it, but there are a lot of people who just want to see him admit it”, said Pickard.
Pickard, who's met Armstrong at biking events, says the former cycling champ has done a lot for cancer patients, but he's not sure Armstrong's reputation will ever be repaired.
