Ex-SD Teacher Pleads Guilty To Sex With Student

A former New Underwood teacher has pleaded guilty to having sex with a 15-year-old student.
Kyle Keegan of Rapid City faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced in March. He entered his guilty plea Tuesday on a charge of sexual contact with a child under 16.
In exchange for the plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss a fourth-degree rape charge.
Twenty-six-year-old Keegan was arrested in October, five days after court documents indicate he had sex with the victim.
He had taught social studies and was a guidance counselor at New Underwood High School when the allegations surfaced.
