Supporters of South Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Steen are gathering Saturday night for a benefit concert.
Steen was rushed to the hospital on October 17th after being run over by a suspected drunk driver.
Steen suffered serious head injuries and a broken ankle. He was on a ventilator and in a coma.
Steen was able to leave the hospital eight weeks later, and continues to recover.
The benefit concert will be held Saturday starting at eight p.m. at the Grand Falls Casino near Sioux Falls.
The band "Something New" is performing. The band was recently inducted into the South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Leader John McCormick says they just wanted to add their support to Steen’s recovery.
The Grand Falls Casino is donating the venue.
