Two South Dakota men and one Michigan man were busted in a reverse prostitution sting on Thursday.
Adam Alrubaie, 52, from Hartford, SD, Daniel Joseph Klecker, 63, of Sioux Falls, SD, and Mitchell Allen Whitefield, 30, from Grand Rapids, MI were arrested and charged with hiring for sexual activity.
The Sioux Falls Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Narcotics Unit set up the sting at a local Sioux Falls motel. Undercover female officers posing as prostitutes were contacted by prospective "johns" via telephone and internet ads.
This operation is a continuation of investigations dealing with prostitution and human trafficking in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. In November, seven people were arrested in a similar reverse prostitution sting in Sioux Falls.
