Man Identified In Fatal Crash

One man is dead after crashing his car into a tree just before 7 p.m. Monday night.
The accident happened just west of Ellis Road on 268th Street. The Minnehaha County Sheriff's office says it appears the man's car was traveling east of 268th Street when it entered the north ditch. The car continued traveling east before it struck a tree.
The driver and only person in the vehicle, Denton Nicholas Haber, a 64 year old, from Sioux Falls was driving a 2012 white Chevrolet Avalanche east bound on 268th Street. The vehicle left the roadway and into the north ditch. The vehicle drove in a northeasterly direction for approximately 100 feet and collided with a tree. Mr Haber was pronounced dead at the scene. It does not appear that speed, alcohol or road conditions contributed to the accident. An investigation continues.
