Interstate Closure

Officials have closed Interstate 90 between Exit 110 at Wall and Exit 260 at Chamberlain as well as Interstate 29 between Exit 177 at Watertown and the North Dakota border until further notice.
Falling snow and strong winds are combining to create snow-packed and slippery roads, with sometimes heavy drifting and near-zero visibility. The winds will continue through the rest of Sunday and into Monday morning so conditions will not improve anytime soon.
Other interstate closures are likely through the day, and travel will be difficult to impossible at times on other highways in many parts of South Dakota.
