The city of Sioux Falls is giving people an extra two days to remove snow and ice from their sidewalks.
People will now have until 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, to have snow and ice removed from their sidewalks.
This is an extended deadline due to the unique nature of the recent ice/snowstorm, combined with the warm temperatures expected today and tomorrow.
The City of Sioux Falls Public Parking Division will begin taking complaints beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 367-8171.
Assistance Program: The Scoop It program is available to low income and disabled or elderly individuals who are unable to shovel their own snow.
Eligible persons must live within the Sioux Falls city limits, must be elderly or disabled and unable to afford to pay someone to shovel their walks, or have no other means of getting the snow shoveled (for example, family, neighbor). Dial 211 or 339-4357 for more information.
