Gann Valley Woman Arrested In Connection With Child's Death

A Buffalo County woman has been arrested and charged with the death of a 4 year-old child.

22 year-old Donika Gonzales of Gann Valley, South Dakota is charged with one count of felony abuse or cruelty to a minor, a class 3 felony.

The charges against Gonzales stem from an incident that occurred on Thursday at a residence in rural Gann Valley.

If convicted, Gonzales faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and/or a $30,000 fine.
