Two People Arrested After SF Meth Bust

Officers arrested a couple accused of possessing meth and child neglect Tuesday afternoon.
Police raided the house on North Redbird Place, but no one was home. When the residents arrived a short time later they were taken into custody.
Police found meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in the home. Information officer Sam Clemens says that officers found many syringes in the residence including a large number in a duffel bag.
31 year-old Amber Schwartz and 41 year-old John Haddock were charged with possession of a controlled substance being meth, maintaining a residence where drugs are used and stored, possession of less that 2 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Schwartz also faces charges for abuse or neglect of a child.
Two children, ages seven and eleven were taken from the home and placed in protective custody. Animal control was also called in to help with animals at the residence.
