Summit League Men's Basketball Tournament Matchups

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --  The Summit League Men's Basketball Tournament in Sioux Falls will open with a South Dakota doubleheader.  SDSU and USD will both play on the tournament's first day.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits, defending tournament champions and co-champions of the Summit League during the regular season, draw IUPUI in the first round next Saturday at 6 PM.  SDSU swept the regular season series with ease, winning 80-65 at Indianapolis on January 19th and 82-45 in Brookings on February 14th.

The South Dakota Coyotes will immediately follow at 8:30 PM against Summit League regular season co-champion Western Illinois.  USD, making their first ever appearance in the postseason tournament, was swept by Western in two tightly contested regular season meetings.  WIU beat the Coyotes 73-71 at the Dakota Dome on November 29th in the conference opener.  Both teams concluded the regular season in Macomb last night, with Western pulling out another two point win, 61-59.
