The Tea Titans had a last second win, Warner boys won off a desperation shot and Lincoln banked one in from half court as buzzer beaters dominated this edition of your Scheels Plays of the Week.
We'll start off our countdown with the Sioux Falls Christian Girls. The Chargers won an emotional Region game against Madison marking the first time the Chargers will be competing at State since 1986. The game was twenty-four hours after teammate Alyssa Vollmer's funeral.
Number four took us to the GPAC title game in Sioux Center, Iowa. Dordt's Kyle Lindbergh received this nice alley-op for the two-handed dunk as the Defenders beat Morningside 75 to 63.
Number three is at the Dakota Dome. Madison native Chris Nielsen, won the 400 meters and was named 'Newcomer of the Year,' helping the USD Men's team to their first Summit League Indoor Championship.
Coming in at number two is Augustana's Cam McCaffrey. Off the steal, the Viking drove up-court for the one-handed dunk. The senior tallied 30 points on the night and is now the all-time leading scorer for Augustana.
And finally, at number one, is a bevy of buzzer-beaters.
First, Lincoln's Nermin Krdzalic stole the ball and banked the half-court shot. Warner's Mitchell Boesl rebounded and threw up this last second desperation shot. Tea's Tarin Smallfield made the game-winning lay-up at the buzzer...and those are your Scheels Plays of the Week.
