Flatten hopes to finish HS career with title

As S-D-S-U fans say goodbye to Nate Wolters on one end of the state....
...they might want to keep an eye out west to the Class A Boys Basketball tournament...
....and Clark/Willow Lake's Skyler Flatten.
"He's special because he's so athletic. He doesn't have any idea how good he is yet. I think when he gets to State he's going to be three times the player he was in high school just because I think he's going to probably end up getting a lot better coaching and he's going to learn how to do things better." Coach Jerome Nesheim says.
Flatten is a silky smooth 6'5' guard who has a knack for making things happen.
"It just sorta happens. Go with the flow and it starts on the defensive end, creating for other people, for my teammates to get open. I enjoy assisting and stuff like that the most. And I enjoy scoring too!" Flatten says.
Sound familiar? And Skyler's a winner too, leading the Cyclones to a perfect 21-0 record this year.
"There's game's that when he makes play that we're still, we don't know how he did it but he's getting it done." Nesheim says.
"College is coming right around the corner so I have to enjoy this while it lasts." Flatten says.
For now, like his future college team, Skyler hopes to go out a champion this week. Zach Borg, KDLT Sports.
