Once again a record number of fans showed up to cheer on their favorite teams at the Summit League Tournament.
According to tournament directors, nearly 45,000 people came out to watch the tourney. That’s over 5,000 more than last year’s total. Directors said every year the tournament gets bigger and better.
"If there was any record to be broken this weekend we broke it. We broke full session, if you take total combined men's and women's we broke the record for each championship, we broke the record for men's and women's single session,” said Wes Hall, Executive Director of Sioux Falls Sports Authority.
All session passes for next year’s tournament have already gone on sale. So far 2,500 have been sold.
