Tony Fiegen Excited For Another Chance At The NCAA Tourney

Bookmark and Share

Mark Ovenden: Well I'm here with Tony Fiegen and Tony I've got to imagine of all the guys on the team being a Madison Native this has got to be pretty exciting to get back again.

Tony Fiegen: It is definitely exciting. I'm blessed to have another opportunity to get back to this stage. This is kind of what I dreamed about going to be a college basketball player. Just being kind of being from South Dakota and representing South Dakota as best we can is a lot of fun

Marke Ovenden: Could you ever have imagined that however that the stage would be this big?

Tony Fiegen: No. Coming in I don't really know if I had any expectations. But making it to the Tournament twice definitely has exceeded any expectations I may have had. And I just go back to the word, being blessed.

Mark Ovenden: Last year you guys played really well. Scared the heck out of Baylor. I'm guessing this time maybe just a little bit less tension. You've been here before. What are your goals this time around?

Tony Fiegem: We're going into the game a lot more loose than last year I think. It was a first time for all of us but this year we've got a lot of experience back. SO our expectation is to go in tomorrow and play well and give them a good game and if we play well defensively we've shown that we can compete with the bigger programs.

Mark Ovenden: So what's bigger you guys making this or Madison winning yet another state title?

Tony Fiegem: Both are really awesome. I'm proud of those guys. I'm proud of coach Ricky. They worked really hard. It just shows the work that they put in.

Mark Ovenden: Thanks very much Tony good luck tomorrow night. And of course we'll have complete coverage from the palace in auburn hills with Max Jensen this is Mark Ovenden back to you guys.
