Chants and cheers filled the air at Cubby's Sports Bar and Grill in Brookings on Saturday afternoon.
Fans had their eyes glued to the dozens of television screens, watching the SDSU women's basketball team battle on the hardwood against South Carolina.
“I believe in the girls! It's going to be a great game!” said SDSU Junior, Daniel Sokolowski.
Fans filled every available seat in the restaurant, but many wished they could have been filling the stands in Boulder instead.
“I really wish I was at the game. It would have been more fun, but I love the crowd and the people and everything. It's fun!" said SDSU Senior, Adri Rasche.
“I would have loved to be at the women's game, but I can't afford to be at the women's game right now!" said Sokolowski.
While it was money that stopped some from making their way to see the Jacks in person, the snowy weather in Boulder was the reason others opted for Cubby's, and seeing them through their television screens instead.
“Unfortunately we were supposed to go to Boulder, but they have huge snow storm there so we couldn't go," said Brookings resident and former SDSU professor, Al Kurtenbach.
Employees at Cubby's said they expected the huge turnout and had one just as big for the men's game on Thursday.
