De Smet To Be Capital For A Day In May

South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard has announced that De Smet has been chosen to be South Dakota's Capital for a Day on May 10.
Daugaard and other state officials will have roundtable meetings with De Smet business and community leaders on that day. There will also be a coffee and constituent-outreach hour that day.
De Smet Mayor Gary Wolkow says the town is honored the governor has chosen De Smet to be Capital for a Day. He says he looks forward to showcasing new businesses, new medical facilities and a new community center.
