Gerry and Heinz Win Special Events at Howard Wood

Nate Gerry of Washington and Macy Heinz of Ipswich were the special event winners Friday night at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays. Gerry set a meet record in the 200 Meter with a time of 21.52 and Heinz won by almost 2 seconds against a much older field. She said she was a little intimidated being only an 8th grader, but it certainly didn't show in how well she ran the 800 Meters. There will be 2 more special events on Saturday since there were no relays last year when Howard Wood Field was under construction.
