Last week the Sioux Falls Storm clinched homefield in the United Conference Championship game with a win over the Texas Revolution.
In this week's regular season finale the Storm can clinch homefield throughout the playoffs if they beat....
The Texas Revolution!
You'd think that would be easy after the Storm defeated Texas 59-16 last Saturday at the Arena.
Think again. Sioux Falls is just 2-4 away from the Storm Shelter and haven't won a road game in more than two months.
If the Storm can solve their road problems on Saturday, they won't have to deal with them again in 2013.
"Well, I mean, it's the same field just a different location, and that's how we've got to treat it. It's a 50 yard field wherever we go. We gotta play like its our 50 yard field at home." Offensive Lineman Charlie Sanders says.
"We're making far too many mistakes and at home you find ways to overcome those mistakes. On the road there's no mercy. You know, I mean, the vultures are hovering and when you make a mistake they come down for the swoop." Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs says.
They'll kick off at 7 PM tomorrow night in Allen, Texas.
Regardless of tomorrow's outcome, the Storm will open the playoffs the following week at home against Cedar Rapids in the United Conference Title Game.
