A Nashville recording artist made a stop in Sioux Falls Thursday morning.
Modern country singer Michelle Murray performed at South Dakota Achieve as part of her “My Finish Line” music and movie tour. Through her music, Murray shares the story of former Indy Car driver, Sam Schmidt, who was paralyzed after a racing accident in 2000.
Murray hopes her songs and the film will send a message of hope to those living with a physical disability.
“I just hope they are inspired. That's what Sam's done for me,” said Murray. “That's why I wrote a song about him and that's kind of what the movie is about. Faith, perseverance and never giving up.”
Murray's performance was free of charge and a number of attendees received a free copy of the "My Finish Line" film.
