SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --
For a Cedar Rapids team playing in it's first ever IFL playoff game against a Sioux Falls team that has won 32 straight home games and six indoor championships, the Titans are confident.
So much so that one of their players pulled a page out of Joe Namath's playbook.
While thanking their fans in an interview with KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Titan wideout Maurice Young made a promise to Cedar Rapids' fans.
"We're going to bring a W back for Cedar Rapids." Young said.
Young and the Titans certainly have reason to be confident based on the two regular season meetings. The Storm averaged just 21 points per game in their season split with Cedar Rapids.
But with the offense finally starting to click during the season's final couple of weeks, the Storm think they're going to break through against the Titan defense.
"We're sitting in a good position. Playing against a team that got after us and then we were able to beat here. And I think we're well aware what they can do to us, but I think we're coming off probably our best half of football that we've played all year." Storm Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs says.
