A Canistota man is okay after crashing his car into a pond in western Sioux Falls Monday afternoon.
Troopers with the South Dakota Highway Patrol say the man, who is in his mid 60's, was traveling east on Highway 42 when he passed out.
Officials say the man crossed over into the westbound lane, drove into an embankment and then into the pond.
The man received minor injuries but passed out due to an unknown heart problem.
"He does have a heart condition that he was not aware of. Medical experts here on the scene recommended he seek medical attention," South Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper Brandon Hanson said.
Troopers say the man refused to go to the hospital.
