Comeback At UNI Special For Coyotes

Bookmark and Share

Cedar Falls, IA --  USD's last road win came at Minnesota in 2010.

And with all due respect to Goldy Gopher, yesterday's 38-31 double overtime win at Northern Iowa might have been bigger.

It certainly is the biggest win in the program's short Missouri Valley History.  When David Johnson scored in the 3rd USD trailed 28-7.

But behind Kevin Earl's big day and a defense that forced three UNI interceptions, the Coyotes chipped away tied the game at the end of regulation, eventually winning in double overtime.

It's a statement victory for the program, serving notice that they are a contender for the playoffs, and serving up a long awaited road win.
