Nothing like a little ground and pound.. And for Lincoln's Caden Quintanilla there's no better way to attack a defense than straight up the gut.
Quintanilla says:"I'll take the hit I like running guys over I like going right up the middle right at the heart of the defense I think they take it harder if I run it right up the middle for 10 yards than they would on the outside."
Aaron Beavers says:"Our line is pretty darn good they open up some holes for him and Caden does a good job of seeing the seems and our full backs Taylor Slava Matt Wagner you know kind of have to lead the way there too."
Quintanilla has run his way into the South Dakota record books. He's number two all-time for most 100 rushing yard games .. something he worked hard for this off season.
Quintanilla says:"I put in a lot of work in the off season my dad has always made me work hard you know get in the weight room and just doing cone drills by my self."
Don't be surprised to see him staying after practice for a few extra sprints.. Trying to grab the edge.. That could lead to more touchdowns.
And while his hard work shows on the field.. his 3.95 GPA has him talking to Ivy League Schools for his brains and football playing abilities.
But before worrying about a college to pick.. Quintanilla and his Lincoln Patriots have one thing on their mind.. Hoisting a trophy high in the Dakota Dome..
