Bookmark and Share

One of the country's biggest sporting goods retailers is officially calling Sioux Falls home.

Dick's Sporting Goods held their grand opening of their newest location in the Empire Mall on Friday. The Sioux Falls location is the retailer's first store in the state of South Dakota.

The new store offers a wide range of high-quality sporting goods equipment as well as certified PROS in various sports to assist customers while they shop.

"Whether it's golf clubs you need fittings for or if you're a running enthusiast and you want the right running shoes, we will have people to help you get into the right product," said Randy Thornhill, Community Marketing Manager at Dick's Sporting Goods.

The grand opening celebration continues this weekend. The first 100 people in line on Saturday will receive mystery gift cards and an Under Armour T-shirt. On Sunday, former Minnesota Twins pitcher and World Series MVP Jack Morris will make an appearance.
