BROOKINGS, S.D. --
A four game win streak and second place finish in the Missouri Valley was enough to get South Dakota State a second consecutive bid to the FCS Playoffs.
The bracket for the FCS Playoffs was released this morning with the Jackrabbits receiving an at-large bid for the second year in a row. SDSU will play at Northern Arizona on Saturday at 7 PM.
SDSU finished 2013 on a four game win streak, going 8-4 overall and 5-3 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, claiming 2nd in the conference.
The Jacks were one of only two teams in the Missouri Valley to receive a bid. MVFC Champion North Dakota State is the league's overall #1 seed.
Northern Arizona finished the 2013 season 9-2, including a narrow 22-16 win over South Dakota on September 21st in Flagstaff, AZ.
Several SDSU opponents also made the postseason field. Butler, whom SDSU defeated 55-14 in the season opener on August 31, won the Pioneer League automatic bid and will host Tennessee State. Southeastern Louisiana earned the #4 overall seed and gets a first round bye. SDSU beat the Lions 34-26 in Brookings on September 14th.
