SDSU Women Settling Into Roles

Bookmark and Share

BROOKINGS, S.D.  --  The SDSU women also figure to be in the mix for a Summit League title on March 11th.  And they may look back on this week as moment their season started heading in the right direction.

The Jacks conclude one of the best homestands in program history tonight against Northern Illinois.  SDSU upset 12th ranked Penn State and knocked off Central Michigan last week.  They lost to those teams by a combined 36 a year ago.

A big part of the success has been the return of Steph Palluch.

The Pierre native won Summit League and Mid-Major player of the week honors after averaging 16 points last week.  This coming after she missed all of last year after suffering a knee injury at the 2012 Summit League Tournament.

With Summit League play right around the corner, Coach Johnston thinks they're coming into their own.
