Reiff Follows In Brother’s Footsteps To Iowa
Older brother Riley is starting OL in Detroit
You’d think helping lead your high school to its first state football title would give Brady Reiff bragging rights over his brother.
“I take pride from coming from South Dakota, the people there, Parkston, South Dakota.” Detroit Lions OL Riley Reiff says.
Until you realize his brother is Detroit Lions lineman Riley Reiff.
“He’s probably heard about it. He’s probably watching it online, so he probably knows!” Parkston Senior Brady Reiff says.
Brady has made a name for himself in Parkston lore. On the mat he won consecutive state wrestling titles, leading the Trojans to back to back team titles.
In football he played on both sides of the ball, leading the Trojans to consecutive state title games and a perfect season this year.
“It’s unbelievable. It’s a great feeling, it’s hard to put into words really.” Brady says.
Brady will follow in his brother’s footsteps and play his college football for the University of Iowa.
“He’s such a strong individual. He’s done some great things, you know, throughout the years. So he’s going to be a great player there, I truly believe that. He’s got great work ethic.” Parkston Football Coach Eric Norden says.
And Brady doesn’t mind the comparisons to Riley, since he’s never had a problem establishing his own identity.
“Being a leader, and being a senior and everything, you know, it just kind of helps get you ready for the next level. And our team came together this year and it was awesome!” Reiff says.
