KDLT News launched a new and improved Tuesday morning.

At first glance, you’ll notice some big changes to the home page. Our new site is easier to navigate. With separate sections for our top stories, videos and slideshows, it’s much easier to find the news you want.

You will also notice our Facebook and Twitter feeds at the bottom of our home page, weather and sports pages, helping you stay connected to what’s happening on social media.

“One of the great things about this website is just how we are able to interact with our viewers more. We’ve got a comment section on each one of our stories, plus it is way easier to share our stories on Twitter, Facebook and whatever else you have,” KDLT News Director Paul Heinert said.

Over on our KDLT Weather page, you’ll see the latest forecast from Brandon, Brian and Blaise.

We have graphics with up-to-date information from cities like Pierre and Aberdeen, as well as local wind chills. The Almanac with more details weather data shows up on the side of your screen, and pictures you send us from your backyard are displayed in the Weather Slideshow.

On our KDLT Sports page, you’ll find all of our Athlete of the Week stories in one spot. Again, stories are broken into different sections so you can easily find your favorite team. We also have a page called Scoreboard so you can check the latest scores you might have missed.

The Schedule page provides links to our daily programming on KDLT, as well as NBC primetime shows.

“Bottom line, we’re just so excited to get this new website launched and bring you something that’s just going to be a lot easier to use in terms of finding content and using it on your mobile device,” Heinert added.

The new is also more mobile friendly. You can access the site on your smart phone or tablet and find content broken up into those same easy-to-use sections you’ll see on your computer.
