The South Dakota Coyotes maintained their hold on first place in the Summit League by sweeping their border rivals.

USD build a 16-point halftime lead and held off a furious North Dakota State charge to defeat the host Bison 83-79 at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse in Fargo on Sunday afternoon.

Nicole Seekamp led USD with 21 points.  Raeshel Contreras scored 20 and Kelly Stewart added 10 for the Coyotes who led by as many as 23.

Brooke LeMar and Liz Keena pulled the Bison back into it.  LeMar scored 27 and Keena 22 to get NDSU back within 2 late.

USD improves to 19-5 and 9-2 in the Summit League, a game and a half ahead of in-state rival SDSU (7-3).
