3 Injured In Plane Crash Near Tyler, MN

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch is investigating a plane crash in a corn field north of the Tyler Airport runway on Tuesday.

The pilot of the single-engine plane, 39-year-old Daniel Ellefson of Tyler, along with two passengers, 65-year-old Clara Wheelis and 77-year-old Daniel Sasser, both of Panama City, FL, were transported to the Tyler Healthcare Center for their injuries.

Two of the occupants were later air lifted to a hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

No additional information was released on their condition.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are currently assisting in the investigation.
