Pair From Northwestern Volleyball Players Of The Week

Northwestern College Attacker, Karlie Schut and Setter, Jessa Doom have been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball players-of-the-week.

Schut, a senior, from Des Moines, Iowa, helped lead the 12th-ranked Red Raiders to a 5-0 record last week.

The senior totaled 74 kills over the five matches, averaging 3.9 kills per set and hitting .249. Schut posted double figures in all five matches and ranked second on the team with 15 blocks. She also served four aces and averaged 2.3 digs per set.

Doom, a junior from Wagner, South Dakota, lofted up over 11 assists per set and guided a Northwestern offense that hit .232 and put down 13.2 kills per set.

Doom also served seven aces and averaged 2.1 digs over the five matches.

Northwestern, ranked 12th in the NAIA, improved to 12-2 on the year.
