City Of Sioux Falls Holds Career And Networking Fair

There are full, part-time and seasonal positions available

The City of Sioux Falls held a career and networking fair at the downtown library today.

Representatives from engineering, fire rescue, health, human resources, IT, police and parks and recreation were available to answer questions.

They are trying to fill various seasonal and full time positions.

Human Resources manager Jane Hannestad says they host this career fair every year to make sure the public’s expectations of the city are met, which takes a lot of people.

“We have over 1,200 people full time, and seasonally we hire over 500 people,” says Hannestad. “So it takes a lot to keep the pools open the parks open, keep them ready for tournaments, all those things; because we live here too, we want the community well served.”

There are currently 6 full-time positions and several hundred seasonal positions open.
