Huron School District To Spend $2.5 Million In Stadium Updates
The Huron School District is spending $2.5 million on sports facility upgrades.
Work is set to begin on renovations to Tiger Stadium and the construction of an eight-court tennis complex near the stadium.
School Superintendent Terry Nebelsick says changes to the stadium include the installation of artificial turf. He estimates that use of the stadium will go from 17 events annually to 120.
Work is to begin on the stadium once the track season finishes. The renovated facility is expected to be ready for soccer and football in the fall.
