Late Knockout Spoils Devin Clark’s UFC Debut

Sioux Falls Native Loses First Career MMA Fight

“Welcome to the UFC.”

Devin Clark’s words after his UFC debut were all to appropriate as the native South Dakotan and Lincoln High School alum ran the gamut of emotions against Alex Nicholson.

Fighting at the Premier Center in front of his home town fans on UFC Fight Night 91, Clark controlled most of the first round, taking Nicholson down several times.  However, in the final seconds of the match, Nicholson caught Clark with a right hand and hammered Clark with several punches, forcing the referee to stop the fight with just three seconds left in the opening round.
