One-Of-A-Kind Virtual Reality Experience

Sioux Falls Native Brings New Entertainment System To Hometown

In a quiet empty corner of the Empire Mall sits the Xtreme 7D Adventure.

This virtual reality game is the only of its kind in the entire United States.

It can tilt more than 60 degrees both forwards and back while also holding the capability of flipping 360 degrees all the way around.

Danny Anderson, the Xtreme 7D Adventure owner and operator went to the IAAPA attractions expo last November, looking for something unique to bring to his hometown.

Up to four players can play at the same time on the Xtreme 7D Adventure.

Anderson said special effects include 3D glasses, water and wind differentiate the game from any others.

“It’s not just a typical video game where you’re just shooting at a screen and riding around. You’re more immersive into it,” said Anderson.

For passers-by like Michael and Konner Kielman, the experience flips their expectations upside down.

“I didn’t think it would be that crazy, like I didn’t think it would go upside down and then we started doing flips and pause upside down so that was pretty intense,” said Konner Kielman.

“Going upside down is definitely different for me as far as video games go,” said Michael.

Anderson said this type of game is more commonplace in countries such as Russia and Dubai.

He also said he treats the virtual reality ride’s uniqueness as humbly as its location.

“I don’t tell them that [the ride is the only of its kind.]. It is intriguing for me,” said Anderson.

The Xtreme 7D Adventure is open during the Empire Malls normal hours.

The ride costs $10 for single riders and $16 for riders in pairs.
