Woman Arrested, Another Suffers Punctured Lung In Sioux Falls Stabbing

A Sioux Falls woman is in jail after police say she stabbed another woman, puncturing her lung over the weekend.

Forty-year-old Kimberly Duran is charged with aggravated assault. Police say Duran and the 35-year-old victim were drinking near the 600 block of West 12th Street on Saturday afternoon. The two got into an argument and challenged each other to a fight. Police say Duran grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim in the left side.

The victim didn’t know she was hurt until someone told her. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
