Caille Siouxland Library Branch Now Open

SIOUX FALLS – While the ribbon cutting and grand reopening of Siouxland Libraries Caille Branch is a few weeks away, its doors opened to the public at 10 a.m.Tuesday, December 20, 2016! Work is all but complete on the major renovation that began in July on one of the city’s busiest libraries at 4100 South Carnegie Circle (near West 49th Street and Oxbow Avenue).

“The building is ready today and our staff is eager to show off this gorgeous new space and welcome customers―old and new. We’ll also celebrate in a grand way at the ribbon cutting in January,” said Carin Schleicher, Branch Librarian.

Caille Branch hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday.

In addition to the complete interior renovation, the $1.2 million project also included exterior work―replacement of siding, windows, and partial roof repair.

A formal ribbon cutting and grand reopening will take place at Caille at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017. The public is encouraged to attend and celebrate a brand-new place to read, learn, and connect. If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact the Human Relations Office at 605-367-8745 or at least 72 hours before the event.
