Adventures With Ahtra: Wild Kingdom

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- Since 1962, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom has entertained and educated viewers about wildlife and nature. Now, Wild Kingdom is back as a web series to bring viewers a closer look at the animal kingdom.

One of the wild guides of Wild Kingdom is Stephanie Arne, who stopped by KDLT News Today to introduce Blaise and Ahtra to some of the creatures she’ll be taking across Sioux Falls on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15. Watch the video above to see an alligator, legless lizard and more!

As an accomplished wildlife educator, Arne has worked in the field on projects around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and more. Originally from South Dakota, she started her career at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.

Arne and her Wild Kingdom friends will be at LifeScape in Sioux Falls from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, July 14. At 2:30 p.m. they will be at The Inn at Westport. On Saturday, July 15 at 9:45 a.m. they will be at Mutual of Omaha’s open house at 5109 South Crossing Place in Sioux Falls. Later that day at 3:30 p.m., they will be at JazzFest at the Sanford Children’s Jazz Quest Kid’s Area. The public is invited to attend all events.

In support of its local offices, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom travels to several cities each year to participate in family festivals, school appearances, grand openings and much more. Arne’s appearances on July 14 and 15 are made possible by Mutual of Omaha’s Office in Sioux Falls.

Founded in 1909, Mutual of Omaha has a longstanding commitment to conservation. That legacy, which began in 1963 with Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, remains strong today. Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom continues through an all-new web series. To view the web series or to learn more about Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, click here.
