Sioux Falls Rolls Over Kansas In Midwest Regional Opener

South Dakota Little League Squad Wins 9-0

WESTFIELD, IND — The Midwest Regional Tournament was supposed to be more difficult than the South Dakota/North Dakota District Tournament that the first year Sioux Falls Little League won two weeks ago in Rapid City.

It didn’t show on Sunday in Indiana.

Playing in their first Midwest Region game, Sioux Falls rolled past Cherokee Kansas 9-0.  Sioux Falls is now three wins away from the Little League World Series and will face Coon Rapids/Andover tomorrow night at 6 PM on ESPN 3.

Jack Radel started and threw four scoreless innings striking out five.  Cohen Henry ripped four hits and Marcus Phillips had two RBI as Sioux Falls, despite getting just four hits, capitalized off of walks and five Kansas errors.
