Bond Remains At $500,000 For Manslaughter Suspect Accused Of Shooting Brother

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A  judge denied the request for a lower bond from a Sioux Falls man accused of shooting and killing his brother last month.

27-year-old Jeremy Eischens faces first and second degree manslaughter as well as drug charges in the July 29th shooting of his younger brother Brandon. Lawyers had asked for Eischens’ bond of $500,000 be lowered to $10,000.

Police say the victim went to his brother’s apartment to give him his car keys so Jeremy could make a drug run to Denver and that’s when the shooting took place.

Police on the scene found marijuana, $29,000 in cash, and what police believe to be methamphetamine salts and concentrated THC.

Eischens’ death is the 6th homicide in Sioux Falls this year.
