Authorities Investigating Bullet Wounds Found In 5 Family-Owned Calves

WATERTOWN, S.D. – Authorities continue to investigate after it appears 5 calves were shot and killed North of Watertown.

The Kowalski family say’s they’ve lost five of their calves over the last two weeks. An autopsy found bruising and bullet holes on at least one calf. The family says because that calf’s wounds were healed over on the outside of the skin, they believe it was shot with a small caliber gun, while dying from internal bleeding.

The family says they are out $4,000 from the loss of the five calves and they are offering a $500 reward for anyone who has information.
