Girl Scouts’ Day Of Play Encourages Kids To Get Active

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The Girl Scouts are encouraging all kids to put down their devices this Saturday and join them for their annual Day of Play.

Day of Play will go from 1-3 p.m. at the Sanford Field House in Sioux Falls on Saturday, September 23. The event is free and all kids are welcome, regardless of gender or age.

Healthy living is one of the pillars that the Girl Scouts instill in its members, according to Stacey Andernacht with Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons.

Wendy Lewis with Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons says this time of year is perfect for parents to get their kids involved with Girl Scouts. There will be an informational nights for parents at the council office located at 1101 South Marion Road in Sioux Falls on October 2 and 5 beginning at 6 p.m.
