State Partners With U.S. Social Security Administration To Help Eliminate Disability Fraud
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced a partnership today with the U.S. Social Security Administration in an effort to help eliminate disability fraud.
The program called Cooperative Disability Investigations Unit is already implemented in 30 states. The program will go after those who claim to be disabled but are not. Officials say this saves millions of dollars for other state and federal agencies.
This year alone, CDI contributed $197-million worth of savings to social security disability programs nation-wide.
