“South Dakota Salutes” Donates $10,000 To Fallen Fire Chief’s Family

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – An organization supporting first responders across South Dakota is working to help the family of Presho’s fallen fire chief.

Law enforcement officials presented a check for $10,000 on behalf of “South Dakota Salutes” to the children of fire chief Don Manger. The group’s annual shooting competition raises money to support first-responder-families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.

Manger died suddenly from a medical condition over the weekend after arriving at the scene of a fire in rural Lyman County.
