SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A sitting Sioux Falls city councilor says he hopes to keep his on the city council this upcoming election.
Councilor Rick Kiley announced today he is seeking re-election to a second term in Sioux Falls’ Southeast district. Kiley was elected in 2014. He was formerly a teacher with the Sioux Falls School District for 33 years.
During his time on the council, Kiley says he’s most proud of his work on billboard restrictions, pool rates and door-to-door salesperson regulations.
Kiley says there is still more to be done, “street maintenance, that’s always the top of everybody’s list and that’s reflected in the citizen survey year after year. And in addition to maintaining our streets, I want to make sure that we’re moving the traffic flow.”
Four city council seats and a new mayor will be elected this upcoming election, which is scheduled April 10, 2018.
