Dordt Rallies Past Northwestern in GPAC Semi's

ORANGE CITY, IA…In a battle of NAIA powerhouses the Dordt Defenders rallied past Northwestern Wednesday night in the GPAC semifinals. The Red Raiders won the first set 25-23 on Lauryn Hilger’s kill. She finished the night with 12 as did Anna Kiel to lead the way for Kyle Van Den Bosch. But Chad Hanson’s team roared back to win the final 3 sets and the match thanks to a balanced attack. Ema Altena led the way with 13 kills and Leah Kamp had 11. Dordt faces Hastings in the GPAC championship with a record of 29-5. Northwestern is 28-4. Both teams expect to be high seeds at the NAIA national Tournament in Sioux City as they are ranked 4th and 5th nationally.
