A Top Priority for Family Farms

While many view the growing number of large-scale farms as corporate entities and producers and growers more worried about their bottom line than sustainability, this South Dakota farmer says that’s just not the case. Ninety-seven percent of the farms in the United States are family owned according to Charlotte Rommereim, who spoke with KDLT on behalf of the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council and the Hungry for Truth Initiative. Rommereim is also a registered dietitian/nutritionist and farmer from Alcester, S.D.
